Operations Specialist

Location: Kent

Job Description

Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Creates process and operational consistencies to reduce costs and improve performance. Audits

current procedures to improve efficiency of operations. Provide operational expertise in the Warehouse. May lead in the creation and implementation of processes that ensure compliance. Identify and analyze operational inefficiencies to establish best practices.

Primary Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Establishes operational processes and ensures alignment with corporate operational strategies.
  • Investigates operational issues and resolves general problems.
  • Drives documentation process and evaluates information pertaining to Branch operations.
  • Serves as point of contact for various administrative programs compliance by establishing
  • processes and providing direction to Branch associates.
  • Interfaces regularly with clients, customers and/or internal personnel to communicate information.
  • Provides training related information and tools.
  • May lead and/or assist in the development and distribution of policies, industry standards and regulations.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.
  • Typically located in a comfortable indoor area.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Education & Experience

  • Preferred qualifications: operations experience.
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct "customers"
  • of the process.
  • This position will be full time in Kent WA.

Assistant PM

Location: Federal Way

Provides primary support to the sales team based on specific geography and/or builder accounts. Maintains a high level of customer service and ensures timely responses to issues. Monitors and reviews customer order activity and makes adjustments to processes and strategies. Provide high level administrative and technical support by assisting the sales account executives. Duties may include preparing reports, compiling statistics and other data using spreadsheets and tables, and other general clerical responsibilities.

Primary Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with sales executive through creation and maintenance of bid project in bid tool system
  • Create and maintain material cost sheet in bid tool system using program information provided by sales executive

Run and validate rebate reporting to determine eligible rebates as agreed upon during bid process

  • Complete requested material usage reporting as requested by builder
  • Create pricing proposals as needed for models, residential construction, non-standard options and special quotes
  • Validate builder program materials are set up and extended in SAP for internal use
  • Complete program maintenance in the bid tool system for showroom inventory
  • Schedule and attend pre-construction and model meetings for assigned accounts and geography
  • Review blueprints with Senior Account Executive (add cut lines for flooring).

Education & Experience

  • College degree preferred
  • Residential construction industry experience a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced experience working with Excel
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and final solutions
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical as the individual will often face shifting priorities on multiple assignments
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written skills; ability to communicate and document complex processes in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills to demonstrate teamwork, leadership and flexibility while working with all levels of the organization
  • Must pass work eligibility requirements.

Design Consultant

Location: Issaquah Showroom

Design consultants will work with new homebuyers in selecting their interior finishes for their new home. This is an exciting experience for our clients but can also be a little overwhelming. As such, the design consultant is responsible for creating a positive, welcoming and innovative experience for the homebuyers. The design consultant will work with the homebuyers in assisting them with the color selections and options for interior finishes of the home. Flooring, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, lighting, appliances, etc.

Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills, detail-oriented, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook). Interior Design degree a plus, but not required.

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Assess homebuyer(s) needs, preferences, and expectations regarding their lifestyle and specific products for their new home
  • Advise homebuyer(s) on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout and color coordination
  • Ensure that homebuyer(s) is aware of all options available for product upgrades
  • Provide complete product information detailing performance, durability, and maintenance of homebuyer(s) selections
  • Estimate material requirements and costs
  • Accurately record product selections using established department procedures, systems, and practices
  • Assists in resolving homebuyer(s) problems and/or concerns
  • Supports all design center and homebuilder processes
  • Is knowledgeable and able to communicate the design center experience and the overall new home buying experience
  • Will be working closely with sales counselors at all communities…building relationships
  • Learn and is knowledgeable about all products in the showroom – attend all Product Knowledge (“PK') training
  • Learn and is knowledgeable about all communities
  • Assist with Stone approvals coordination between homebuyers, reps, and subcontractors
  • Adhere to and manage builder time frames for lot file submission
  • Conduct browse appointments when necessary
  • Required Sales metrics management and average sales numbers are met
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Handling

Location: Kent Warehouse

Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift, fabrication, counter, or may have a generalized role working in all departments.

Primary Job Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods
  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles. Stack or pile materials, such as lumber, boards, or pallets
  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
  • Verify computations against physical count of stock
  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures
  • Receive and fill orders or sell supplies, materials, and products to installers and subcontractors
  • May drive truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations or operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Forklift experience

Single Family Project Manager

Location: Federal Way

CR Floors is  recruiting a Flooring Project Manager for the  company located Federal Way, WA. The Project Manager is responsible for the oversight and anagement of the project cycle for flooring projects by providing direction and coordination of all field activities related to the installation teams and any coordinated subcontracts; ordering materials for all assigned projects; complete any change order estimates; managing the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle; and securing any unique materials, permits and/or equipment required to complete the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all activities related to assigned flooring projects

  • Ensure proper procurement of  all materials for assigned projects

  • Participate in design, process and sample submittal if required

  • Create and follow a project schedule

  • Coordinate and direct installation teams as needed

  • Attend regular company sponsored training sessions 

  • Ability to be in the field 20% of the time

  • Additional duties required as needed

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience of project management, must be within the flooring industry

  • General knowledge of the industry and/or product channel or the ability to quickly learn

  • Exceptional Computer Skills

  • Ability to manage budgets and schedules

  • Possess exceptional organizational and planning skills (detailed oriented person)

  • Ability to recognize and solve problems independently
